Cigarette Butt
Standing at the shelter near my regular bus hop-on stop, I saw a man (clad in a navy blue polo tee and khaki shorts, wearing black socks with brown sandals).. He was mumbling to himself and gesturing to somebody (apparently, only visible to him) while his left hand is trying to put his wallet back into the pocket of his shorts. Once that's done,he walked to the dustbin at the bus-stop and put his fingers into the cigarette butt-bin and fished out a half-smoked cigarette. He seemed pretty happy upon his find! With that, he took out a lighter with his right hand and lighted the cigarette!! The half-smoked, half sucked cigarette which had lingered on someone's lips!! That cigarette may have been dumped by its owner ages ago!! Dust, bacteria, saliva and donkey of other things are probably stuck onto this particular cigarette!! EEEWWWWWWWWWWwwwww...
But to that man, it was as if it's a brand new stick from the packet! The grin from his mouth showed how happy he was after that puff.. A young adult, probably about the age of 19 or 20, seemed amused by the whole scene.. That fella was smiling and trying to contain his laughter.. What an ass, I think.. There we have, a man who is mentally challenged and probably have no sense of do's and dont's while on the other side, there's a young person being amused by what he saw.. Pretty turn off.. I admire the man's guts for having the courage to pick out the cigarette from the cigarette butt-bin AND laying his lips on it.. I hope he's ok after that ciggie..
