pulau aur trip (20 oct ~ 22 oct 2006)at long last! yes! i finally achieved my open water diver license! *phew* got it together with BB.. heeheehee~ i missed e tioman trip and dino wanted me to complete my license by this diving season and luckily BB wanted to take license too! so off we went, to pulau aur!
fri nite, we left singapore on a mini van.. bumping our way to mersing jetty.. nothing much to do on e van except to listen to my M-ie, eat, chat w BB and sleep.. upon reaching mersing at 1am on saturday morning, we checked into e mersing hotel for e nite. it was a simple bedroom (shared by 4 of us) w a small tv, a queen-sized bed, 2 single-sized beds, attached bathroom and it's air-conditioned.
e next day, we woke up at about 6am to get ready for our boat trip to aur. aur was similar to dayang.. no phone reception, no tv with a very laid back style.. relax.. it was pretty packed as everyone was making use of the long weekend to dive before e season ends.. breakfast was done and off we went, for our first dive! kekeke!! fun fun fun! fishy here, fishy there, fishy everywhere!!! kekeke!!!
everything went quite ok except on e 3rd dive that i had to ascend due to inability to equalize.. *sigh* was pretty disappointed but for e good of my ear drums, i've got no choice.. was dangling on e surface for a good 10mins 'coz i was wondering if i should go to e boat (which was DAMN far away) or wait for e guys to come up. but in e end, some nice fellow divers signalled to my boat to come pick me up.. kekeke..
4th dive was rather quick for me as i could only equalize until 15m.. i was even getting groggy! instructor was like spinning in front of me! *sigh* no choice, i gotta go back to e boat.. n things gotta be made worse when i felt nauseous (probably coz of e slightly heavy breakfast - greedy ol' me). felt so bad that i wanted to go back to shore and cancelled e next dive..
i konked out on my bed while BB and e rest went off for their 5th and last dive which they brought bread and banana to feed the fishes!!! aarrrggghhh!!! damn! missed out on e fun! owells.. no choice eh..
afternoon came and we packed up to head home.. a fun, burn-out but unwind trip for e both of us.. m looking forward to our next dive trip! hopefully, we can take our advanced open water license together next year.. *fingers crossed*
