e.angola.experience

away from bt panjang n my usual lifestyle i was, from 22 feb to 27 feb 2007. i had to park myself at room 901 of miramar hotel for those days s i was one of the LO for e angola troupe, who was here for e annual chingay parade. the troupe came from central africa n they had to put up a dance performance. their item was so full of life n energy that it got me jiggling as well.. hahaha~

everything went smoothly.. e preview, e actual parade, e concert @ ucc for nwcdc peeps, e shopping, e cultural exchange.. everything! as days passed, e bond grew.. 22 of them, along w 3 singapore LOs. we had a language barrier (they speak portugese n little english) but somehow, we curb that n had a whale of time!

they didn't return to angola till 2 mar 2007 n we were there to send them off.. it was a controlled tearful goodbye.. after they went in e gate, e tears flowed.. mama cried, raphael cried along w papa celso.. gosh.. i, teared a little too..

it was a memorable experience for me.. a definite cultural exchange w e angolanas.. i miss them..
