April Fool's Major Event @ Suntec
haven been blogging much lately due to my 1st solo major event.. for e past few weeks, i was doing overtime, ta bao-ing work back home, going to work early, burning my brain cells over it.. at last, it happened on this very day - April Fool's Day.. yes yes, everyone was like, "are you sure this walk is going to happen? it's not an April Fool's joke?".. as weird as it sounds, e people asking are old folkies.. hahaha! since when did they become so concerned with April Fool's Day??
anyhows, woke up damn early as everyone had to report @ 6.30am.. YES!! no joke! 6.30am @ suntec city & PA! in e wee hours of a nice, windy - going to rain soon weather.. damn, how nice it would be if i'm all cuddled beneath my comforter along w baby.. on e comforting side, i'm not alone.. some 3,000 brisk walkers had to wake up early as well bcoz of my event (quoted from faith - she's ONE of them!).. hahaha!!
well, as usual for all virgin event OICs, one will tend to think they are sun wu kong - having e ability to appear or duplicate oneself to be @ different places at the snap of fingers .. hahaha!! everything seemed to have turned out well - e sky became bright, e walkers reached e destination w a goodie bag in their hands, a smile was seen on their faces, beads of perspiration flowing from their foreheads and t-shirts became wet of perspiration accumulated from the 4km walk..
at e end of e day, u look back at e flushed colleagues & volunteers that have helped you since e wee hours.. you feel like hugging each of them or shaking their hands vigorously to thank them for all their help and expertise they had provided.. e event could not have been successful if not for each and everyone's effort.. THANK YOU everyone, from the bottom of my heart.. whether or not, i'll get a thumbs up, shaking palm or thumbs down, i'm happy that everyone tried their best to make it turn out e way it was supposed to be so here's to you:
baby - thank you for waking up n driving me here & there & everywhere, driving back to suntec when i needed yer help even though u were near home n also for putting up w my irritable self.. *MUACKS*
