..women's walk 'n' shop..

sorry peeps.. was way way caught up w e preparations of my event that took place last sunday.. somehow i am emotionally confused abt e event - disappointed 'coz e part that i was supposed to b familiar with, didn't quite come out right; happy 'coz e unusual part of it turned out much better than i thought!

it wasn't quite e usual warm-up, walk, watch performance, lucky draw, go home routine.. this time round, 'coz of 'san pa fu nu jie', we added a tinge of fun to it! that was to pump in that shopping element which requires some budgeting skills!

17 teams of 4 females had 40 minutes and $80.00 to buy 8 listed items. n hw to determine e winner? simple.. it's e team that has e most change in e shortest time.. nt easy i muz say as i spent a few hours going into shops to check out the prices in order to verify that e challenge could be done within e budget! amazingly, e winning team took only 26 minutes and had a change of $14.45!!! i took few hours and managed a $15 change.. ggrrrrr..

as this concept was a first, more energy was spent on it till i neglected and took for granted that e usual practise will flow by itself.. boy, m i wrong.. e walk was crap, couldn't even believed hw i planned it.. *sigh*

but e shopping challenge part made me smile a little.. at least i've got positive feedback abt e shopping amongst e many 'niam-ing' of e walk.. n e happiest moment of it all, was to see an article in ST on this shopping challenge!! nt a small one but a relatively okay sized article! *woots* that article saved my life! was supposed to be 'buttered' the next day but heng ar, e article was planted in a strategic area.. hahahaha!

yeaps, nw a little more time on my hands s no big events on my court at the moment.. juz gotta concentrate on some redemption thingie, apples, some brief history of this flagship programme and etc etc etc.. haha! doesn't sound quite free at all eh.. but i guess that's working life.. esp in my line of work.. it's juz events n more events! but luckily, i'm still enjoying it! =)
