Ed's & ZY's 'SURPRISE-NOT' Birthday Dinner @ 240506

3 weeks before this date, smses were sent to pple close to e two May babies.. Everyone's gonna make effort to attend this dinner which was kept as a secret until the LAST minute.. Hahaha!!

After everyone's confirmed,I told ZY to make time for this date.. "I can't confirm" was all he said. DAMN! For a moment, I was thinking if he was even going to come! Especially when his friends said they're coming! Ed was more ON in a sense.. He said OKAY almost immediately..

Preparation
Last Thursday, I went Art Friend with Bayi to buy the letterings and acrylic paint.. Was a mad rush 'coz both of us didn't have dinner b4 we went to Art Friend and I was literally stuck there 'coz of the art stuff there! I tried to squeeze in IKEA into the itinery but wasn't able to.

Friday came and I went down to town to meet Justin.. Brought him to IKEA so that I could buy the 2 frames before we hit Alexandra market for Beef Stew and Bak Kut Teh.. After dinner, it was shopping @ Queensway Shopping Centre before heading to his house to pack his equipment and to Jurong for ice-time.

Me off on Sunday and so, it was PAINTING day! While msn-ing with ZY & Ed, I was painting their frames away.. Tried to make some arty farty texture but failed so repaint the whole thing.. TMD.. Rushed down to 207, hoping to settle some issues but didn't get a chance to.. Went down to Clementi to play badminton before going back home and 'redesign' the frames again! This time, it came out REAL nice.. Paint dried, now it's time for steady hands to write their names.. Not easy man!!! Luckily, it came out okay.. Kekeke..

Monday, went to develop the photos and luckily it fits nicely..

Tuesday, printed the small shots at office, cut it and pasted it along.. At LONG last, everything is done! PHEW!! Looks so nice!!!! I love both frames so much!!!

E DAY (Wednesday)

Went Popular to buy the bubble wrapped envelope so that the frames are well protected! Going to meet them at Lido at 730pm! Kekeke!! Excited!! Wondered how they'll react to everything.. WHile sitting there, our dear KENNY went to say Sixth Avenue and b'coz I did mention meat place to Ed, he immediately guessed the Brazil place!! TMD!! Our dear ZY then gotta know about it.. *sigh* So much for a SURPRISE place!

The place was nice.. The food came damn fast lor!!! Luckily, everyone was busy eating.. Kekeke!! In e midst, I asked Uncle Vin to order 2 slices of cake discreetly.. Minutes later, the waitress came and asked in a not-like-a-whisper voice, "The cake serve now or later?" *faint* 2nd surprise GONE!! Wanted to get cheesecake from NYDC since ZY lurve cheesecake and Ed's okay with it but couldn't get it in time.. DAMN!! Although there were hiccups and all, it was a really good dinner! Thank GOD it turned out well!! Haven't planned anything nor personally did something for pple since some time back.. :D
