our.bintan.trip
e 19th day of april many years back = baby's first cry on planet earth.. we decided to head for bintan for a short trip to rejuvenate our v tired minds n bodies.. work was crazy, life was chaotic, fun was missing.. n so we packed our bags, headed for tanah merah ferry terminal and bobbed our way to bintan..
1st.day @ 19.April.2007
upon reaching nirwana gardens, we were welcomed by a lady w a tray of orangey drink which baby said, "bu hao he de.." n so w his words, i kindly rejected it.. baby went to check in @ e reception while i sat @ sum corner, waiting.. e resort was quiet.. prob bcoz it's a thurs.. we got our key, went to our room and rested.. after a very short rest, our stomachs grumbled and lunch it was for us.. him - gado gado & moi - fried rice.. e foodie was nice but way expensive! not worth it.. *tsk tsk* a dip in e pool was followed where we lazed for quite some time before heading back to our room for a wash up and rest..
wakey wakey! it's time for dinner! hahaha! off we went via e shuttle bus, to e kelong for some seafood.. e food was ok ok but as usual, expensive! really bo hua lehz.. anyhows, we had chilli crab, chicken fried rice, gong gong and garlic prawns.. e garlic prawns was e only one worth many thumbs up! it was superbly fresh! *salivates*
e shuttle bus came n we were whisked back to e resort for more rest! hahaha! a soak in e tubbie was next in e agenda and baby prepared a very, very nice atmosphere along w a special drink.. thanks baby! e day ended w tv n rest, yet again! :)
2nd.day @ 20.April.2007
woke up early to catch e sunrise n then a walk along e shore to pick up some seashells for memories.. an international buffet breakfast was next and boy, i miss their beef bacon along w e teochew porridge w anchovies and peanuts!!! heehee~ while on e way back to our room, we decided to pick up e cue and poke at e coloured balls and so, we played a round of billards right in e middle of e whole lobby.. hahaha! but e table was positioned badly and e sun kept going into our eye, causing us to mis-cue!
a rest was needed since we got up soooooooooooooo early and ZZzzzZzzzz.. we both konked out.. by e time we woke up, it was lunch time n (u guessed it, right!) we changed and headed to e pool to have a poolside lunchie.. it was simply wonderful.. lazing by e pool while ur body catches a tan n our hands r bz w feeding your mouth w food.. baby ordered pizza, chicken wings and even a brownie! heehee~ all me favourites! *slurps*
while we were enjoying e serenity of e environment, a bunch of jokers (apparently from japan, i think) jumped into e pool.. nothing unusual when u go on holiday, right? but, like i mentioned.. this is a bunch of jokers.. why? 'coz they jumped in with their home clothes (none was wearing a swimwear of any type!), big sun hats tied to their chins, sunglasses perched on their nose and MAKEUP on their faces!!! one even went to e extent of bringing her umbrella in.. *claps* i swear she won e dare to be different award hands down!!! hahaha~ baby n i were so amused by them that we kept laughing and tried all ways n means to take pics / vidz of them.. they looked s though they came fr a desert and were exhilarated at e sight of e pool.. oh, did i mention they were about mid 30s to 50s?!
they stayed for quite some time and when they left, i felt disgusted.. imagine e dirt on their clothes are now drifting in e water.. or some residue of their makeup.. *yuck* i steered clear of e makeup until i saw some ang moh jumped in e water n appeared e same.. hahaha! n so, my bubbling in e water stint continues.. heehee~
it was back to e room, again for more rest n similar to e first day, we got up juz in time to wash up n bathe n get ready for dinner! hahaha! it was kelong food again but this time, we ordered black pepper chicken, crispy sotong and crispy chicken.. fantastic!!! hahaha! e nite ended w chips in e room n more tv-watching.. zzZzzzZzzzz..

we had to leave bintan today but not until in e afternoon after our breakie n lunchie.. hahaha! breakie was international buffet breakfast while lunchie was a simple nasi lemak at e bistro.. nice little packet w e favourite stuff - peanuts w anchovies, chix wing n fishie! come 3.30pm, we were on e way to e ferry terminal where we caught e ferry back to singapore..
e whole trip was v relaxed.. w no rush n all.. mind was @ peace.. enjoyed each other's company while being dissolved in e laid-back mode of e resort.. thanx baby for e wonderful trip! gonna put e pics once i compile them in a montage for easy viewing.. kekeke..
