stereotyping

most of u prob noe i have 2 blue streaks on my hair ya? i didn't quite get into trouble at work but my gm advised me to change it b4 i leave.. well, i cld understand her stand coz she'd wan her officers to look presentable n blah blah blah.. bt wat i dun understand is that why is blue hair nt considered ok for working professionals?

red is a colour n so is blue n green n pink.. so why is red hair being accepted n categorised as 'normal colour' but nt blue / green / pink hair? more often than not, blue / green / pink hair has been associated w e terms - wild, funky, punkish.. who started such stereotyping? i find such stereotyping, RIDICULOUS..

we are living in a modern society but w traditional mindsets.. if we can't accept out of e norm stuff, hw can we even encourage creativity or thinking out of e box?? juz bcoz one has 'weird-coloured' hair, he / she is sentenced to b a wild and can't-take-things-seriously person? nonsense.. wat abt one whom has tattoos? does it mean that he / she are uneducated pple? NONSENSE too.. such are stereotyping that was passed dwn fr years back..

in my case, i feel it's weird that we can't have such coloured hair bcoz we are always trying to keep up w times n getting pple to b creative n think out of e box.. but smhow when u think out of e box, there's still a boundary.. in any case, e world out there has opend up so much but where are we still at where we were prob 20yrs ago? why do we package ourselves as such?

why dun we open up our mindsets, b inclusive n look beyond things? mayb this way, e group that we hope to attract can find us interesting enough to want to check us out..
